Since its inception, the MRLC has been carrying out activities to try to reach its goals. Included among them are training and workshops.

In conducting human rights related activities, the MRLC always tries to invite and have active participations from all countries in the region (namely, Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam). This is to ensure that human rights of people in the region are protected or respected as much as possible.

As seen from the Mekong Update page, up to September 2001, there are at leas 969 persons having participated in, and/or benefited from, the MRLC's activities. Some of the participants are from outside the region. One of the main reasons for this is to allow people from within and outside the region to interact and learn from each other. This can bring about friendships and good understandings.

The MLRC's activities have been made possible with the kind contributions (in-cash and/or in-kind) from many donors and supporting agencies. Among the donors and supporting agencies are the following.
